Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux became the 23rd jockey to ride 5,000 winners when he guided Gumpster Stables’ Bella Attrice to win the seventh race at Saratoga Race Course July 27 .
- First win - Miss Tavern at Evangeline Downs on July 13, 1986.
- Kentucky wins Derby on Real Quiet in 1998, 2000 aboard Fusaichi Pegasus and this year Big Brown.
- A three-time Eclipse Award winner.
- Youngest jockey to reach the 3,000-victory plateau.
